Trogir

Trogir is one of the most popular Croatia charter destination. The old town centre, under UNESCO protection, represents a true treasure trove for lovers of art. There are numerous Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque buildings and churches you should visit. In addition, the city is a fascinating place to just wander. Discover tiny medieval streets revealing hidden restaurants and eye-catching galleries. The orthogonal street plan,dates back to the Hellenistic period. Trogir also boasts a spectacular Venetian Cathedral of St. Lovro, town hall and the Church of St. John the Baptist with its gorgeous carved portal. Likewise, the city is nicknamed the Adriatic’s Venice. However don’t expect to find any canal, only a small island that’s connected to the coast by two bridges.

The 200 year old Trogir market, also known as Pazar, is located at the entrance to the town. The market offers a wide selection of Mediterranean and other tasty fruit and vegetables. One of the most beautiful parts of the city is its waterfront stroll called ‘Riva’. You should definitely visit it during your stay. It is a right place to sit for a nice cup of cappuccino or a tasty traditional pastry. While relaxing there, admire charming port full of sailboats, motor boats and mega yachts.

 Trogir is very easy to reach because the proximity of Split airport Two yacht marinas ACI Trogir and SCT marina Trogir  accommodate higher-spending visitors,  while a younger crowd hits the seafront nightspots of adjoining Čiovo island. Trogir, due to its position in mid Dalmatia aria,  represents an ideal starting point to one of the most interesting sailing areas in the world – the attractive Adriatic coast.  

Split

Split is a well known Croatia charter destination. In addition it is the second largest city in the country. Due to 14 km of clean beaches, unique life style and preserved history, you definitely must visit the city when travelling in Croatia. The Old City of Split is one of the oldest in the world, and it is really authentic! In 4th century AC Roman emperor Diocletian built his famous Diocletian palace. Therefore the palace soon became the core of the city. This is why you should make it your first target when starting your visit. Today the palace consists of labyrinthine streets packed with people, bars, shops and restaurants. Take a walk among the Palace’s walls and explore Vestibul, Cathedral of Saint Domnius, Temple of Jupiter, Diocletian’s Cellars and Peristil. After refreshing at one of Peristil bars, explore the Riva.

Climb on the Marjan hill and enjoy the spectacular view of the city. Every time you want to take a break from the hectic lifestyle of the city is enough to take a little walk and head towards Marjan. Marjan is also an integral part of the city centre.  We heartily recommend you to take some time to visit this magnificent natural park.

If you’d like to taste Croatian cuisine, Split is the perfect place. The profile of its restaurants improves very year. For fine fish and seafood we recommend places such as Bota Šare, Boban, Kadena and Noštromo.

Always buzzing, Split is a city of style, sun and relaxation. Hence, after sundown you will experience exciting night life.The bars and clubs are mostly located in few city locations; city centre – or old part of Split around Diocletian palace, Riva promenade and clubs on Split beaches. Solta

Solta island is one of the most popular charter destinations on the Adriatic. The name of the island origins from the Greek name Olyntha which means unripe fig. The island has preserved natural and cultural heritage and it represents the true the oasis of peace. The  Solta island holds numerous charms despite the obvious lack of larger urban settlements. Along with wine and olive oil making, even more beekeeping and honey production is one of the oldest traditions of the island. Enjoy the pebbly beaches surrounded by shady forest. Solta is the ideal choice for families with children.  Likewise the adventurers who want to explore the many quiet bays  will love this island. Relax on a private yacht, swim, snorkel or go fishing in Solta bays.

Bike routes on Šolta island  lead from Maslinica to Stomorska on the alternative tarmac road. This is actually a mountain bike route and it goes via Donje Selo, Srednje Selo and Grohote with detour to Nečujam (Piškera bay) and finally end in Stomorska. This route is perfect for bike ride along olive tree groves and dry stone fields overlooking the sea.

The most  popular place in the island for sailors is Maslinica. The aristocratic family Marchi built their castle with towers to defend from frequent pirate’s attacks back in Venetian period. Nowadays, there is a small but modern marina, which is part of a luxury boutique hotel situated in impressive Martinis-Marchi castle overlooking the bay.

Bol

A small seaside town Bol on the island Brach became a very famous Croatia charter destination. This is because of the spectacular beach named Zlatni rat. This unique pebble beach is one of the largest and most beautiful attractions for the tourists sailing in Croatia. Zlatni rat stretches over 500 meters into the sea and changes direction of its top influenced with sea currents. The beach offers restaurants, cafes and a surplus of water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing and kite-surfing. The nightlife is more relaxed than Zrce beach, but there are plenty of open-air bars and nightclubs to explore.

Besides Zlatni rat beach, while on Bol we recommend visiting the ancient Bol monastery. If you are feeling active, Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the island, will amaze you with fabulous views across the Dalmatian coast.

From the gastronomy point of view, Bol has a great selection of reasonably priced local ‘konobas’ specialize in grilled meat and fish dishes, cooked using traditional methods and recipes. Our tip: try famous island Brac lamb.

Hvar

Hvar island is the most luxurious Croatia charter destination. In addition, the island is voted one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world.  The island of Hvar is a true gem of the Adriatic Sea. On top of all this, Hvar’s uniquely sunny micro climate, unspoiled landscape, and rich cultural heritage make the island ultimate must-be spot on a travel map for discerning international travellers looking for an authentic Mediterranean experience. Visit some of the most beautiful sights  like  Arsenal, Franciscan Monastery, Town Loggia, Fortress, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the first communal theatre in Europe built in 17th century.

Vis

Vis is quiet and charming Croatia charter destination. The visitors of Vis can see the rich remains of Issa the largest ancient Greek colony. Vis has heavenly untouched nature; amazing  clear sea, sandy and pebble beaches. In addition numerous coves present true peace oasis. The island is also decorated with gorgeous Renaissance holiday homes of the then aristocracy and the churches they commissioned. More recent history display many military forts. Back then the island was off limits to foreigners which had an excellent effect on the preservation of the island’s nature.

Vis has a winning way of creating restaurants within the walls of ruined palazzo. We recommend you to try famous Viska pogaca. It is a flat cake with sardines. Wash it away with a glass of its most famous wine, Vugava, which is cultivated around the town of Podspilje. Despite its low-key vibe, Vis has enough sights, including an archaeological museum and churches, to avoid beach-centred boredom.

Make shore to visit famous beach Stiniva. In addition to Vis, do visit the islands surrounding it, as well as the popular island Bisevo.  Besides Bisevo, visit other two islands, Jabuka and Brusnik. They are Croatia’s only volcanic islands. The great Blue Cave,one of the most unique natural phenomena in the world, will be a highlight of your holiday. The rays of sun that penetrate through the only crack into the cave are reflected in the sea, creating incredible light effects in the interior of the cave. Hence  the sea appears to be in silver blue colour.  You will find another natural phenomenon, near Vis – the Green Cave.

Mljet

The most beautiful Croatia charter destination is island Mljet. It was named the “green island” because of its rich Mediterranean vegetation. Numerous forests cover 70% of the island’s surface. The northwestern half of the island is the very first National Park of Adriatic. Mljet Island is a place to go to meet locals, spend time in nature, and explore uninhibited places. The island has rich flora and fauna. The island has  two connected sweet-salty lakes, clean sea, cultural and historical heritage. Mljet is popular because of its astonishing indented coast with extraordinary sandy shoreline and numerous cliffs and islets.

Mljet island is home to another island. On the Great Lake, there is a small island named after Saint Mary. The island contains a former Benedictine monastery dating from the 12th century. It’s now a reasonably-priced restaurant.  The most interesting attraction that you must visit on the island is the Ulysses cave. It is famous because, allegedly, Ulysses spent 7 years in that cave, watching the open sea while mourning for his beloved wife and home.

The seaside villages of Pomena, Polace, Sobra and Saplunara attract the most visitors. Saplunara beach, a beautiful sandy lagoon, is an ideal place for you to relax and unwind. We  recommend you to hire a bike and explore this peaceful and lush island. If you are coming to the park during the summer, don’t miss the opportunity to swim or scuba dive. You can organise other sports activities such as windsurfing and diving in hotel Odisej Mljet. For local specialities, try the makaruli which is homemade macaroni with goat cheese and fried garlic or  prandispanj  a traditional cake.

Lastovo

The most impressive Croatia charter destination is Lastovo. Its surrounding archipelago consists of 46 islands. This is a perfect destination for lovers of nature and sailing. The Nature Park encompasses Lastovo and Susac islands, as well as the small archipelagos Lastovnjaci and Vrhovnjaci. The medieval town of Lastovo is a protected cultural monument because of its unique renaissance architecture. The city is invisible from the open seas and tucked away in a natural amphitheatre. The entire island abounds in cultural and historical heritage. While staying on Lastovo, see the remains of the Illyrian buildings, numerous sacral monuments and villae rusticate from the Greek and Roman era. The most famous church is the parish church of St. Kuzma and Damjan from the 15th century.

Also, you can climb on the highest peak Hum and enjoy the astonishing view of the entire islands and numerous islets which surround it. From the gastronomy point of view you can enjoy in its wine, olive oil and in various sea delicacies especially in one of the oldest custom like sardines on skewer, eel stew, grilled moray and in sweets like fritters.

Kornati

Kornati islands are very attractive Croatia charter destination. They are the symbol of real heaven for sailors.The Kornati Islands are a collection of hundreds islands. They are scattered like pebbles along the northern Dalmatian coast. In addition the islands diverse for their beauty of landscape, immense natural bays, „wild“ ports,  coastlines and preserved marine ecosystem. Kornati have been protected as a National Park in 1980. They are the most indented island group of the Mediterranean.

The islands are mostly uninhabited. Therefore you will feel like an explorer discovering a new world. Korcula

Very charming Croatia charter destination is island Korcula and its beautiful medieval fortified town Korcula.  It earned its nickname “little Dubrovnik”  for the thick 14th-century stone defence walls and towers. Immerse yourself in Korčula’s narrow walkways and discover adorned palaces and elegant houses. Also visit numerous churches and palaces of aristocrats built in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. The fact that Marco Polo was born on the island is not yet completely verified but the frequency of the last name Polo and Depolo supports the thesis. While visiting this Croatia charter destination you should try to catch a performance of the Moreska Sword Dance. Moreška dates back to the 16th century. It used to be played all over Mediterranean while nowadays it’s only performed in Korcula. The tale begins when Moro (the Black King) captures a Moslem maiden, Bula who he is in loved with. However, Bula is in love with Osman (The White King) who shortly after comes with his troops to free her. The dance is a sword-dancing fight which ends with the defeat of the black army.

Elafiti

One of the most popular South Dalmatia charter destination are the Elaphites islands or Deer islands. The name came from  Greek word which means deer because a lot of deer lived on the islands. The largest of the Elaphites are Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep and they are the only inhabited islands in the group. The islands were a favourite holiday spot for the patricians and aristocracy of old Dubrovnik.  In the past sailors often brought various plant species home from their journeys. Tropical fruit orchards, nested inside pine, cypress and palm groves, colour the landscape of the Elaphiti archipelago, and make it particularly attractive.

You should visit the summer villa Dordic-Mayne, the Rector’s Palace, Franciscan monastery and a deserted Dominican monastery. If you like to dive make shore to visit a diving attraction of the Elaphiti islands, a submerged wall covered with algae and coral, on the hermit island Saint Andrew. Also visit the Sunj beach. This is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Adriatic. The beach is popular because of shallow water which extends about 100m from the shore. Elaphiti islands will trill you with their slow lifestyle, from which all noise and stress have been rooted out.

Dubrovnik

The most stunning Croatia charter destination is a gorgeous city of Dubrovnik. The city was inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 because it has an exceptional culture and history. Over the centuries, the walls, played important role in city protection from various threats. Hence the walls are today the city’s greatest attraction. Dubrovnik’s diplomacy in the period of the republic was very developed. It was able to maintain the city freedom despite Venice and the Ottoman Empire aspirations. The Napoleon finally gained control in 1809 and the Dubrovnik republic seized to exist.

The most important cultural manifestation of the city is famous Dubrovnik Summer Festival. This is the largest and most representative cultural event. The Summer festival takes place since 1950 and lasts every year from July 10th to August 25th. The grand opening of the festival takes place in famous street Stradun in front of the palace Sponza. In addition visit number 1 of Croatia’s best-hidden beaches with kicking nightlife, Dubrovnik plat beach. This tiny beach represents a splendid oasis of beautiful landscapes. Taste some of Dubrovnik restaurants alluring menus with a focus on fish and seafood.  In particularly you should try famous oysters from Ston, a nearby city on the Peljesac peninsula. Primosten

Primosten is really charming North Dalmatia charter destination. The locals built the village on an islet and later artificially connected it with the land. Zadar

For sure Zadar is a young but very cute Croatia charter destination. Even though smaller and less known to tourists, then Split or Dubrovnik, Zadar is becoming a very popular destination. The city is big enough for you to find favourite beach bar, do some shopping on the main street, explore historical sights and yet small enough for you to be able to walk on foot all around it.  Zadar has a shockingly long history, much of it still on display around town. Visit the centre of town and old Forum. Also there is the 9th century St. Donatus’ Church, built on the remnants of a Roman temple to Juno. Kalelarga, the main ‘street’, runs through Zadar Old Town, and features a number of cafes, ice cream shops, regular shops and more.

Exploring its surroundings is a must when visiting the aria as 3 National Parks are situated close by Krka, Paklenica and Kornati. However, before exploring elsewhere you should pay a visit to Zadar’s own original attractions. The Sea organ make music as waves clash along the shoreline. This incredible creation keeps astounding each and every visitor.  Likewise ,the Greeting to the sun basically is a big round disco floor. It lights up at night and celebrates the setting of the sun in an unforgettable way. During his visit to Zadar, Alfred Hitchcock famously declared the sunsets in Zadar to be the best in the world. So as the light begins to fade, follow the crowds that gather down on the Riva in front of the sculpture “Greeting to the sun” and decide yourself if the story of sunset is really true.

Skradin

One of the most enchanting Croatia charter destination is Skradin. It is small, but very romantic town located on the spot where the river Krka passionately embraces the Adriatic sea creating unusually beautiful scenery. The town is both a start point to Krka National Park and an attraction in itself. Be sure to visit the natural beauties of the Krka National Park.  Also take time and explore the Skradinski Buk waterfall, Roski waterfall and a small Franciscan island Visovac. You can enjoy swimming at the bathing place located on the Krka river, or in a beach located on the very spot where the river meets the sea.

Skradin is a typical Mediterranean town made up of narrow stone paved streets, arched alleyways, passages and stairs. Skradin has an exceptionally rich past. The city can boast of having had the status of town for over 23 centuries. The entire town core represents a protected cultural monument. In addition one of the most beautiful marinas in Croatia is located in Skradin.  If you are a gastronomy enthusiast and wish to savour the specialities of this region try sea and river fish prepared under baking lid or “peka“ and famous Skradin cake. We suggest you also to try Skradinski risotto, but be aware that you have to make a reservation in advance because it takes 12 hours of cooking. The tradition dictates that only male members of the family can prepare it.
